Sorting beans or spilling beans?

On that day we looked at the different size and colours of dried beans. Some tiny little ones, some big ones, green , yellow, red, and black ones too.


so we had to sort them by colour, which happen to be also by size!

very good work for our fine motor skills and our budding math understanding.

it was ok to do some freestyle sorting as long as we got our little fingers to grab on these tiny beans.

In the rush of tidying up a spilling happen! one more occasion to do group work and get out fingers doing the job.

unexpected and spontaneous practice, Momin kept on sorting the beans by colours as he was picking them up.
