A singer is born

This year Mida regularly springs into songs, here's one of her moments, Momin, Marinka and Falcon often follow her singing if she sings loud enough for them to hear her.. and if it's a song they know.

The beginning of the Compliment Chain

Here's the very beginning of our Compliment Chain. Every time one of us do or say something nice during the day we will add a link to the chain, let's see how long our chain will be by the end of term 1!

Our Journals

Here are our journals. We will be using them to practice our mark making. We can also use them whenever we feel like drawing or 'writing' something. We keep them on a shelf and they are readily available along with crayons, markers, coloured pencils or pencils.

This week our shape was a circle.

we could use circle stamps,

or use circular objects to trace circles as best as we could.

or do it free hand, like Marinka!

Making footprints, hoof prints and paw prints

Before plunging into the shallow pool we got to make footprints with paint. WE knew we could make amazing prints with our hands, and it proved, for some to be an interesting experience..

Mida enjoyed making straight lines with her footprints.

While Marinka marvelled that her feet could even make them!

Falcon just enjoyed walking around with paint on her soles..

Afterwards, we made animal foot prints, we first got to recognise which animal made them then proceeded on using the animal foot prints stamps to make bird footprints,

bear paw prints,

cat paw prints

and horse hoof prints.
